Geosciences provide critical information for identifying, developing and adding economic value to the exploitation of the resources available in the Earth's crust. This value is achieved through the timely delivery of information and knowledge surrounding the relevant natural variables which are represented in the spatial models of that information. In this sense, geology allows for the optimal design of a project, the optimization and support of production operations, the identification and mitigation of environmental impacts, and the identification and evaluation of mining business opportunities.
